How To Get Others To Take Your Business Seriously

Annoyed that your partner/mother/sister/friends don't take your business seriously?

It's fine.

It's YOUR job to take your business seriously.

Not anyone else's job.

And the best way to demonstrate to everyone around you that it's a serious business?

Is for YOU to act seriously about it.

This means:

- Creating boundaries around your work time

- Saying no - a lot!

- Focussing on client-generating activities

- Showing up and marketing consistently

- Investing time, money and energy into your business

For me, this means:

- Putting my phone on 'Work' mode, which means that only calls from my kids' schools can come through in an emergency

- Saying 'no' to social activities during my work day

- Getting dressed up for work, even though I work from home

- Scheduling my day to work on ONLY the needle-moving activities to grow my business

- Investing in coaching and support to grow my business

- Focus, action and determination!
